MARATHI LITERARY CLUB :
‘Kathakathan’ was organized to promote narration, style and knowledge of great personalities from time immemorial. The club organized “KAVYA SAMMELAN’ on 21st December, 2015 to instill everlasting and aesthetic values among studens. The students learnt to pay tribute to the great Marathi poets.
On the whole, students are imparted ideas about our rich Indian culture, art, heritage, literature, drama, sacrifice, tradition and morals. The ancient scientific knowledge imbibed by the students makes them proud of their heritage. The thought and learning leads to creativity which is enhanced with the help of charts, posters and other presentations. Promoting moral values and thus aims to make students philosophers in action, men of great courage and multi faceted personalities.
Our school does its best to sensitize students to social and national concerns so that they avoid becoming self centred. The Interact Club of the school takes up novel ventures of helping the poor, the needy, the orphans and the elderly. During the last week of October, 2015, the Interact Club members took up the project of ‘Collection of old clothes’. Teachers encouraged students to take part in large numbers. 28 cartons of clothes were handed over to the Secretary, SRUJAN.
Interactors of Standard VIII & IX prepared hand made articles like greeting cards, envelopes, paper bags, beautiful gift boxes during Bal Mela in the month of November, 2015. The funds collected from the sale of articles will be used for the projects of Interact Club.
Stationery materials were handed over to VARADAAN an association for promotion of Adoption and Child Welfare. All the above mentioned projects inculcate moral values among students, sense of belongingness towards fellow human beings, sensitize students towards the less fortunate ones, encourage students to work for social upliftment and bring likeminded people together for activities of social development.
SCOUT & GUIDES:
Ø Students of Std. VI organized Trekking (Varsha Sahal) camp for Scouts/Guides students on 1st August, 2015 at Bal Udhyan, Seminary Hills, Nagpur. The camp was organized by Nagpur Trekking Association members.
